Mint and chocolate are a polarizing flavor combo. I think chocolate plus anything can’t be wrong, but surprisingly some people just don’t care for the combo. I love it, the craving hits a few times out of the year, I devour a dessert and then it passes. Every November when the Christmas candy starts to appear I stock up on candy cane crunch Jr. Mints and snack on them until January. The next time the craving hits, I’ll be reaching for one of these recipes:
Iced chocolate peppermint cookies by Baking a Moment
I love them because with mint chocolate I almost always think green but these fun pink and red striped cookies are super cute and a little surprising.
Mint Chip Cake Roll by Crazy for Crust
While I will always be a sucker for a mile high tiered cake, there’s just something homespun and wonderful about this chocolate cake studded with Andes mints and filled with lighter than air mint flavored whipped cream.
Mint Chip Fudge by Chocolate, Chocolate and More
Could this recipe be any easier? I don’t think so. And with just a few ingredients, you’re on your way to mint chocolate heaven in no time.
Dark Chocolate Mint Ice Cream from The Little Epicurean
This looks absolutely fabulous and again, surprising. She makes it with bits of fresh mint instead of mint extract, and you can taste the difference.
Mint Cookie Dough Truffle Bars by Inside BruCrew Life
Hold the phone, its a cookie dough truffle, but without all the hassle of rolling and dipping truffles? Sign me up. Topped with a layer of melted Andes mint chips? That’s it, this is the winner for me today. If you need me, I’ll be in a mint chocolate coma.
